Body: Thinning shears are often used on the body to reduce bulkiness and blend uneven areas of the coat. This is especially useful for breeds with thick or double coats, as it can help maintain a more uniform and tidy appearance.

Legs: Thinning shears can be used on the legs to create a more natural look. They can help blend the longer hair on the body into the shorter hair on the legs, providing a smooth transition and a well-groomed appearance.

Tail: For dogs with feathered tails or tails with different hair lengths, thinning shears can be used to create a balanced and tidy look. They help avoid a choppy or uneven appearance.

Ears: In some cases, thinning shears can be used on the ears to remove excess hair or to create a softer, more natural look, especially for breeds with long, floppy ears.
