Topcoat and Undercoat: Use the grooming comb to part the topcoat and undercoat. This is particularly important for double-coated breeds. Comb through the fur to expose the undercoat, and then use the shears to trim any excess or uneven hair, especially during shedding seasons.

Legs: When grooming the legs, use the comb to separate the fur and ensure it lies flat. This allows for a more even and controlled cut with shears, helping you achieve a well-groomed appearance.

Tail: Combing the tail can help you see the individual hairs clearly. This is especially useful if you want to create a specific shape or style with the tail. Use the comb to lift and separate the hair while trimming with shears.

Neck and Chest: For breeds with thick or longer fur around the neck and chest area, the comb can help you part the hair, allowing you to trim it evenly and avoid matting.

Face: When grooming the face, a grooming comb can be useful for parting the hair on the muzzle, cheeks, and eyebrows. This makes it easier to trim and shape these areas with shears while maintaining a natural look.

Ears: Combing the ear hair can help you see any tangles or uneven areas. Use the comb to separate the hair while trimming with shears to ensure a well-groomed appearance.
